A Vodou Flag for Erzulie Freda


Greetings in the name of God, the ancestors and the lwa! I am offering this beautiful Vodou flag for the lwa Maitresse Erzulie Freda, in conjunction with the discussion we are having on Mambo Racine's Vodou Forum and The Roots Without End Society webpage on Facebook.

This beautiful flag is about 30 inches by 30 inches. It is mounted on shimmering pink satin-acetate, and executed in sequins and seed beads in several shades of pink, blue, white and pale lavender. It's beautiful! No photo can do it justice. Sometimes flags which are not completely covered in sequins are of inferior quality, but not this time - the artist did this deliberately, to make the heart-shaped vever seem to float, glistening, in space.
